What happens when you use the Phish Hook?
  1. Report a real life phishing attempt: Saves Cross Company from real threats such as Ransomware and Malware attacks.
  2. Report a simulated phish: You receive a Pass in KnowBe4. This becomes especially important if you have recently experienced a Fail. 3 successful Passes removes 1 Failure.
  3. Report a suspicious email: Help Desk receives the submission and performs analysis. If it’s not a threat, the IT Help Desk team can direct you back to the email.
How do I know what to report?
You should only report messages with the phish hook you suspect are malicious, like phishing and spear phishing emails. Report annoying messages, like spam, using the GMail Spam icon.

If you have any questions about the legitimacy of an email, report it. Even if it’s a gut feeling, use the phish hook.
