Did you know that correctly reporting Phishing emails helps keep you and Cross more secure, as well as provides a positive score in KnowBe4 for your training account, reducing the chances of continually receiving simulated phishing attempts over time?
Gone are the days of forwarding suspected malicious emails to the HelpDesk or calling to have someone look it over. You can easily report SPAM or Phishing emails using two icons in GMail. SPAM and Phishing are also 2 different types of emails. See below for the correct way to report Phishing emails, along with the correct way to report SPAM emails.
Phishing is malicious emails, scam attempts, or spoofs disguised as a legitimate source. Use the GMail Phish Alert Button (PAB) to report suspected phishing or malicious emails.

SPAM is for junk, unsolicited, or bulk emails. These typically include emails that have options to unsubscribe to them, such as newsletter, bulk emails, etc. Use the GMail SPAM icon for reporting these junk or bulk emails.
