If you find yourself needing to clear cookies for NetSuite or any other website with any frequency, this tip's for you!
Chrome has the ability to automatically clear cookies for specific sites every time you close the browser. Last week IT pushed an update to Chrome to do this for ADP, which we believe will prevent those "400" errors many of you have seen in the past.
Here's what you need to do to configure Chrome to delete Netsuite cookies on exit:
1. Paste the line below into your address bar in Chrome and press Enter:
chrome://settings/cookies
2. Scroll down to the section titled Always clear cookies when windows are closed and click Add
You do not need to check the box for third-party cookies.
That's it! Feel free to add any other websites that give you trouble using the same format. If the site is
b2b.verizonwireless.com, you would add
[*.]verizonwireless.com, for example. From now on if the website is misbehaving, you can close your browsers and open them again. There's a good chance this won't be necessary since we're all closing Chrome at least once a week and the issue may be eliminated altogether.
NOTE: If you have multiple Chrome windows open you can close all of them together by pressing Alt+F then X on your keyboard in Chrome, or click the 3 dots at the top right, then Exit at the bottom. If you have Chrome configured to continue where you left off on startup, doing it this way will restore all of your Chrome tabs and windows when you open it again.
